Who we are
SettleCheck ("we") provides the SettleCheck iOS app, the web membership on this website, and this website. Contact: ![]()
What we collect
- Your answers in the app. Used to match you with settlements. Stored on your device.
- Sign in with Apple. Apple gives us a name and an anonymous ID. They stay on your device.
- App activity. Basic usage such as installs, screens viewed, and purchases, tied to a random app identifier, so we can run and improve the app and measure our marketing.
- Purchase status. Whether you have an active subscription, provided by Apple. We never see your card details.
- Web membership. Your email address, plan and payment status. Payments are processed by Stripe, which collects your card details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number.
- Support messages. Anything you email us.
What we do not collect
We do not connect to your email, bank, or accounts. We do not file claims for you and do not receive settlement payments.
How we use it
To show you settlements that may match you, run and improve the app, measure our marketing, and answer support requests.
Sharing
Service providers who process data for us: Apple (App Store purchases), Stripe (web payments), an email delivery provider (receipts and service messages), an analytics and attribution partner, and our hosting provider. We do not sell personal information. Claim links open third-party sites with their own policies.
Notifications
The app can send reminders about deadlines and new matches. Turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Retention
On-device data stays until you delete the app. Other data is kept only as long as needed to run the service.
Your choices
- Decline tracking when iOS asks. The app still works.
- Manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple ID settings, or a web membership at settlecheck.app/account.
- Email us to access or delete data we hold about you.
Children
SettleCheck is not directed to children under 13.
